Rev. Howard Cunningham was a long time friend of CUCC. He participated in worship services off and on until the time of his death in 2003. His involvement with our predecessor church occurred in the 1950s when Rev. Cunningham and United Church Pastor Gaylord Noyce helped form the first racially integrated Vacation Bible School in the area. (The article below describing the integrated Vacation Bible School was written in 1955 by Mrs. Ruth L. Carter who is Mary Pruneau’s mother.)
